Believe it or not, space heaters are one of the appliances that use the most amount of energy. Space heaters use electric power to heat a space, which is much less efficient than using natural gas. In fact, if you reduce your space heater usage from 5 hours/day to 2 hours/day, you can cut costs by about $164/year in electric bills. And that’s just for one space heater.
If you still need to use a space heater, make sure it has been tested with the latest safety standards; place them in an open area with a level, hard, non-flammable surface so air can circulate around them. And keep them at least three feet away from flammable materials.
