A letter from our Executive Director, Tim Reinen:
This current climate has been tough on our community, both locally and nationally, and we have seen a lot of concern expressed from residents and small businesses. In the thick of uncertainty, it is encouraging to see the nonprofit community band together and respond to these needs by aggregating resources, creating funding opportunities, and providing technical assistance to raise capacity. The ever-changing landscape of this virus has required us to be nimble and responsive for needed connection.
We at Radian believe where there is complexity, there is opportunity. We are encouraged to see that creativity is at the center of how organizations are responding, and we aim to support these strategies in a multitude of ways. We, as a nonprofit, are focused on identifying community needs and looking to fill these gaps with compassion and awareness, which requires people-centered approaches and engagement, policy change for renter’s rights, and on-the-ground financial resources for small businesses and nonprofits.
We are committed to lifting our local partners and businesses so that they can provide neighborhoods with the services valuable to the community. To broaden community awareness, everyday Radian has been highlighting local organizations on our social media channels letting residents know that these companies are Open For Business!
We hope you and your families stay safe during this time, and please look to those who are in need. Continue sending us messages on how we can further support our local partners and community. We are in this together!
